and so it ends (and begins)

well. the summertime of 2010 has come to an end.

no speeding tickets. no car accidents. that is a first for me. based on that fact alone, it was a good summer.

other things:

i watched every single episode of wizards of waverly place this summer. i am not a big fan of television, and usually things that are not real life don't make me laugh, but wizards of waverly place never fails to. you can make fun of me. it's fine.

two of the kids i was babysitting painted themselves with acrylics and it took 45 minutes of scrubbing to get them halfway clean. leif, the five year-old, still had a green eyebrow the next day.

one day one of the hubcaps on my car just fell off for no good reason. completely unprovoked.

my bike was squeaking and i didn't know what to do. i figured out how to take the pedals off, but was only strong enough to take the left one off - i was too tired after that. i realized i didn't know what to do next or why i had taken the pedal off. so i put it back on (after a few tries and not knowing how to put it back on). it doesn't squeak anymore.

firefighters joined us in becca's backyard for a bonfire. the neighbors had called and told them we had lit a trash can on fire. untrue. they were very kind and funny.

rebekah and i wrote a song. it is explicit. it's about ducks. someday it will be a top 40 hit right up there with ke$ha and nelly.

speaking of nelly, i learned all the words to "just a dream" during the last week of summer. earlier this summer i learned the rap to "airplanes" by b.o.b. and i am working through learning the words to all of the raps on eminem's new album.

this has become a list of just things as they come into my head, not even necessarily about summer.

i went to all of my classes yesterday without school supplies. SENIOR YEAR.

i cut up serrano peppers yesterday and didn't wear gloves (because i hate them and i like to think i can do anything i want). i wanted to cut my hand off because it burned so badly afterward. and my face because i touched my face. cooking is hard.

did you know jesse mccartney is 23? fun facts.
